New Light In A New World

  Artwork - j@ck A soft, yet powerful humming in the ears awoke a pale sick man to a sheet of blinding light. His body, basking in warmth, felt light as air and within the embrace of warmth similar to the sun on a  hot summer day. It was a white light that felt at once familiar and yet forgotten. Maternal was the best the man could describe it, as if he had been spawned from it long ago. Sapped of strength and slowly regaining it the man slowly took bearings of his surroundings. Nothing of note came into focus—it was all pure light. Yet as his eyes began to regain focus he noted some subtle texture to the surreal, endless landscape that kept it from looking like a flat plane. Swimming among the ocean of radiant white were artifacts that looked much like the little clumps of black that often float around the surface of eyeballs from time to time, just blown up in size. They traveled around the space with no specific path, sentient they seemingly were not. Many were as large as his own b
