Blooming Into You

Artwork by Mirufui / Based off a roleplay with Terse  I walked within a field of sunflowers, admiring them as I often did. The giant field a few miles outside of town was one I often visited, sort of a sanctuary for me. Here, I felt removed from the hustle and bustle of my weekly grind, basking in the flower's fragrances and at times falling asleep on the soft soil beneath their swaying blankets of shade. Today I decided to wander deep into the massive field, further than I ever had before. Then, I saw her. A mysterious, green haired woman with a parasol walked up to me. She wore a plaid skirt and a waistcoat of similar color and pattern over a plain white shirt. A red eye peering from under the bangs of her wavy, shoulder length green hair gave me a puzzled, slightly worried look. Once upon me, she said nothing. “Ah, um... good day, miss. Didn't expect to see anyone else around here.” I hadn’t expected someone else to be this far out and admittedly was feeling awkward from ...

Kat Got Your Tongue

This story is a collab with TheTGScourge “James! James wake up!” A slim, well-trimmed Cameron, wearing nothing but their boxer shorts and white, sleeveless T-shirt, shook their friend passed out on the ground. James was dressed in similar lounging attire to them, the two mere moments ago having been in a living room late at night. Cameron’s panic was understandable, having just woken up in a cold chill on the edges of a giant, floating concrete structure miles up in the sky, unable to see the ground beneath the clouds. They’d barely gotten their bearings, but something about the place felt familiar. What mattered now, was making sure their friend was okay. James thankfully came too, jolting up as if from a deep sleep. He looked around in confusion before looking at Cameron. They asked what was going on? “I don’t know man.” Cameron replied. “Last thing I remember was us talking about Gravity Rush after having played it some. The next thing I recall is the TV glowing brightly and t...

The Spirit Inside

Artwork -  Joecanvas The lively sounds of a street market in Brazil filled the ears of a young man wandering from stand to stand. James was not native to these lands, but had come to think of them as home all the same after an extended stay within the country, and this city in particular. He had learned the basics of the language he’d need for the trip, but here there were enough English speakers for him to get by relatively well. It was a dream vacation for him, and one that at this point he hoped didn’t have to end. Squinting his brown eyes, he looked up at the sun-drenched sky and smiled, washing his creamy skin in the amber light. He felt a gentle gust of wind travel through the stalls and kick up his low-cut brown hair and he scanned the pretty sights still before him as he continued his walk. He only had 2 days remaining on his trip, but he was already in throes of homesickness, but for this  place. He had acclimated so well, quickly making friends, finding his ro...

Delusions of Princess Fischl

This was a collab with Redrocian A chubby fellow, dressed in a black, medieval mercenary costume, brandishing an eyepatch, leaped off his bed lunging forward with a plastic sword. He bantered to an invisible enemy while lost within a pretend play. The one childishly prancing about the disheveled apartment was Brendan, a man who dreamed big and lived lazy. “Hark! I am the sovereign of the Württemberg! And I have never known defeat! Tremble before my Auge der Verurteilung!” he yelled while unconvincingly swirling his sword. He had a flare for roleplay, and this week’s escapist fantasy was a magical knight who spoke at times in German, who was ruler of a prosperous kingdom under siege. Brendan was a colossal nerd and a social outcast who cared not for those who looked down on his peculiarities. Possessing a wide eyed wonderment and no drive for responsibility, he wished for things to come easy. After flunking out of College and being hit with some cold hard reality, he found himself...
