Jam Packed Meal

He’d been backpacking since he was 17, picking up many interests along the way that also turned out to be vital in his worldly travels. Learning new languages was certainly helpful to him, as was his more recent dabbling in bare-fisted martial arts; mostly a mish-mash of imitating what he’d seen in films featuring masters like Bruce Lee. He was still an amateur, but hoped the training would help sculpt his body as he was still quite scrawny everywhere but his legs which handled the weight of his travels. There was one skill he had picked up on though more important than the rest—good home cooking. Their papa loomed large on his reclining chair but carried a warm serenity to him despite his size. “You little tots really should be getting to bed, but I suppose I can’t say no when in such a mood.” Dad said with a chuckle. “This time of year is very special for me.
